About PerilX

Physical Risk Analytics and Decision Support

PerilX is a physical-risk analytics and decision-support platform developed by ANOFA. It helps users interpret location hazard context and available building information in a clear, preliminary framework.

Purpose and scope

PerilX supports prioritisation for individual assets and multi-asset portfolios. Its outputs are intended to help technical, operational, risk-management, insurance and investment teams identify where further review may be useful.

How the platform works

  1. Location selection provides earthquake, flood, landslide and environmental context.
  2. For earthquake screening, structural type, construction period and number of storeys inform the model context.
  3. Each hazard is interpreted through its own relevant data and effect model.
  4. Outputs describe key drivers and data-completeness notes alongside preliminary decision support.

Methodology and sources

PerilX documents its data sources, calculation framework, interpretation principles, model scope and limitations publicly. Earthquake, flood and landslide information are not presented as if they have identical resolution or analytical depth.

Read the PerilX methodology and the data-source documentation for the underlying framework.

What PerilX does not conclude

PerilX does not certify that a building is safe or unsafe. It does not replace site inspection, a parcel-specific ground investigation, structural performance analysis, official damage or risky building determination, appraisal, or insurance pricing.
